Our Liberty School students come from a variety of schools from all over San Diego County where barriers are present in their life like military dependents, single-parent households, homelessness and/or poverty.
Each year students engage with resident artists in photography, dance, art, music, animation, quilting and more, building self-esteem and learning new skills that will help them improve in many areas of their education.
Over 2000 students have gone through Liberty School with 20 ARTS DISTRICT Resident Groups, being paid funds to support their education departments- making this one of the most unique and impactful arts education programs. This is a program that relies 100% on donations—all funds pay artists and instructors. Donations to Liberty School support students access to art, non-profits educational opportunities and builds a brighter future for our community.
